The Paper Works

The Paper Works is an exciting new Co-Working Space born out of a dense urban mixed use site rich in history, ever evolving and adapting. Its historic uses allowed us to generate form by linking parallels between the shape and arrangement of barrels, the rolling of pewter plates, the perpetual rotating movements in the manufacturing processes in the production of paper and the use of stacked rollers, to the stacking and storage of rolled fabrics. Using this form we can generate excitement and interest in the façade, enhance the run down backs turning them into fronts and use balance to create covered and uncovered spaces.
