Hampden Road is a new 79-home development in the Royal London Borough of Kingston upon Thames, built on the site of a former plastics warehouse. With a residential neighbourhood at the front and Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) at the back, it’s a great example of transforming a brownfield site into something valuable. Faceted façade designs maximize frontage and views, creating layered housing that nits the two juxtapositions together, achieves high density while keeping privacy intact in both directions. There’s no overlooking, high levels of daylight and sunlight, full private amenity provision and nearly complete site coverage.
